SAKAS (SAga light source data KArte System) and its application for micro and phase-contrast X-ray CT

Abstract

The number of image data obtained by synchrotron radiation (SR) imaging has rapidly increased in recent years due to the improvement of X-ray imager’s performance. At SAGA Light Source (SAGA LS), the measurement time per sample is less than 10 minutes for micro-CT using quasi-monochromatic light; therefore, more than a few tens of CT measurements can be performed in a day. Under these circumstances, recording the sample name and its status, measurement conditions, and data file name by hand is inefficient and increases the risk of making mistakes. We are developing a data carte system (SAGA Light Source Data KArte System: SAKAS) to solve the above issues. SAKAS automatically records the entire history (conditions) of image data from its creation (measurement) to the reconstruction of sectional images in a single file.
